Filled From Within

The church is filled with Christ, and Christ fills everything in every way. Ephesians 1:23

We are always filling ourselves with the latest, greatest, newest, and biggest next best thing. Truthfully, it is all the same to me. I mean, aren't these the same things last year or years ago that the government proved caused cancer, or some horrible illness? Why are we so easily fooled? It's because we're searching for something. Searching for fast, quick results. Most of the time, those results end up false or changing constantly. Now is that satisfying? No, not at all.

My friend, we need to fill our spirit with something eternal and everlasting. When we allow God to enter into our lives according to His will and time, we benefit more graciously. That grace empowers to overcome such silliness as the newest diet pill, or the latest fitness workout. In fact, when we we reach that ultimate level of true Christian-like transformation others will follow suit. They aren't following us, but instead they are following the Christ in us. Jesus is the Bread of Life and quenches our every thirst ... confirming our need of being filled.

So do not consume yourself with material things, but fill your life with the Word of God daily.
